Generator Rex
Another new series on Cartoon Network, Generator Rex is a comic book adaptation with a grating protagonist (douchebag teen hero) but I'm liking the art so far, especially the mutant designs, like this great spine-walking dangly-body brain guy:
Anyone he touches is infected by his tissues and controlled as conscious, unwilling puppets!
Cartoons for the pre-teen to teen crowd usually hold back more on the horror, and tip-toe around explicit mention of death. Even "Justice League," marketed as a fairly grown-up series, bent to censors and used the (weirdly) more accepted "destroy" instead of "kill." Thus far, this show is relatively unafraid of the D-word and throws around some nicely ghastly creatures.
