D&D on B&M
It's certainly been a while since I've posted in my dumb blog with all the time I devote to art, but I felt the need to point out that some classic "Dungeons and Dragons" monsters appeared in an episode of Cartoon Network's "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" as background characters:
The large, tentacled monster is an "Otyugh" or "Gulguthra" (dung eater) based directly off the LJN bendy toy from 1984. The beaked, tentacled brain is a Grell, which also had a toy in the same line.
This beetle-like monster is clearly an Umber Hulk, borrowing traits from both the older and more recent illustrations of the monster. That may also be an Owlbear to his right.
Last of all from this episode, the green guy with the empty eye sockets is a classic D&D style Troll.
I'd also like to point out Ro-Man here from "Robot Monster" in the made-for-TV movie.
