Awesome Vintage Cartoons: Balloon Land!
Over the coming weeks I'm going to be linking to some of my favorite theatrical cartoons - some of them fit the spooky tone of Bogleech, some of them are just plain adorable, and all of them are positively gorgeous works of art, with more heart and soul poured into every second than most modern television cartoons ever achieve in their entire run. First up? BALLOON LAND! A portion of this cartoon was once presented by none other than his Royal Majesty, The KING of Cartoons, on the venerable Pee Wee's Playhouse.

We need a show that show classic cartoons. Like this one. Maybe with Pee Wee as the host
This cartoon also appeared in the Mystery Science Theater episode "Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders." The movie Mike and the 'bots are watching features a family being terrorized by an evil cymbal-crashing monkey doll, and the family's kid watches this cartoon at one point. Within moments, his dog dies in a fire. COINCIDENCE?!?
